Viking Lumber has been providing high quality building materials to Mid-Coast Maine since 1945 and, over that time, we have expanded to nine coastal locations. In 2010 we opened Viking Hardscapes to expand our product offerings and better serve our customers.
If it's bricks, pavers, segmental retaining wall systems, granite, slate, cultured stone, or natural stone you need to make your landscape beautiful, we have them! We also stock a full line of Stihl chainsaws, blowers, and trimmers as well as home and professional duty lawn care equipment manufactured by Ariens, Gravely, and Scag. If your current power equipment could benefit from a little tender loving care, we also offer a full service shop to keep your equipment running at its best.

We offer delivery services to your home or business using our fleet of vehicles. In most cases delivery is provided at no cost, but on occassion we may need to assess a charge for deliveries that are geographically far flung from our Warren location. Call or stop by to speak to a sales representative regarding the particulars of your delivery.

Our indoor and outdoor showrooms allow you to envision how our product offerings will look once installed at your own home. We are very proud of our displays, and invite you to stop by for a look.
New Equipment
We offer a mix of homeowner and professional duty lawn mowers, rototillers, log splitters, generators, and snow blowers as well as the full lineup of Stihl power equipment and accessories.
Used Equipment
On occassion we take select used equipment in trade, ensure it is in good working order, and offer it for sale. Select the link at right to see our current inventory of used equipment.
Equipment Repair
Our full service repair facility is standing by to help maintain your power equipment. Whether you bought it from us or elsewhere, we are dedicated to getting you back to work.
While we make a best effort to ensure our used equipment is running in tip-top shape before offering it for sale, it is sold "as-is" without a warranty. Used equipment tends to go quickly, so check back often for an up to date listing of what we have available.
With our strong Maine roots, it is only fitting that we offer a selection of stone that is native to our home state. By leveraging our relationships with local quarriers, we are able to offer our customers unique product offerings from our own backyard. And like many of the products we offer, we have a wide variety of native Maine stone on display at our indoor and outdoor showrooms.
As prideful as we are about our selection of native stone, we must admit that other areas of the country have some beautiful stone to offer as well. To ensure our customers enjoy the widest selection of colors and textures, we have aligned ourselves with stone suppliers who source material throughout North America.

Our outdoor showroom features a fully functional professional quality kitchen and several wood and gas burning fireplaces to help you imagine the possibilities.

Interlocking pavement systems (pavers) provide an attractive and cost effective alternative to poured concrete or asphalt in walkway and driveway applications. The system consists of a compacted gravel base, a sand setting bed, pavers, joint stabilizing sand, and edge restraint. Pavers are available in single and multiple piece systems and feature numerous styles and colors.

Additionally, we have the right aggregates and paver accessories to ensure your project stands the test of time. Segmental retaining walls (SRWs) are gravity retaining walls that rely primarily on their mass (weight) for stability. The system consists of concrete masonry units which are placed without the use of mortar (dry stacked), and which rely on a combination of mechanical interlock and mass to prevent overturning and sliding. The units may also be used in combination with horizontal layers of soil reinforcement which extend into the backfill to increase the effective width and weight of the gravity mass. These walls can be structural or purely decorative and include elements such as pillars, cap stones, etc.
